North Africa Services

NAS is an organization in which one of its services is providing manpower and specialists manpower services in a variety of niche sectors especially in the energy sector. North Africa Services was founded by a small collective of power engineering specialists whom have replicated its infrastructure to support large scale engineering internationally.

NAS has a specialized business unit created to specifically service energy projects with a focus within Technical Assistance in Power Generation and Nuclear plants.The scope covers Engineering Design, Construction, Commissioning and Maintenance Contracts for all discipline scopes. Our delivery teams are multi-lingual with extensive international experience, allowing the business unit to identify global talent on a localized level.

HAMAKANG : Multiple Nigeria Sites – NDPHC/NIPP – Controls & Excitation/Generator Engineering

• Site management and commissioning of a retrofit project for seven gas plant. Specified cabling, routings, cable trays, material, fitings, conduits and instrumentation. Commissioned the Mark VIe systems, STAH, Algeria.
• Managed retrofit installation and commissioning of a Mark VI system on a Frame 5P generator drive gas turbine in Gabon. Original system was a Mark II.
Commissioned two Mark VI systems on two Frame 5 units in Tunisia.
• Multiple Mark V training courses for various customers.
• Completed <I> to <HMI> upgrades.

  • Installation and start-up of a General Electric Frame 9E with Mark V controls, Ras Laffan, Qatar.
  • Installation and start-up of a General Electric Frame 9E with Mark V controls, Doosan, UAE.
  • Turbine control system Mark V specialist working on maintenance of two General Electric Frame 7EA and two Frame 6B compressor drives and four General Electric Frame 6B power generation units. Perform planned and unplanned maintenance to comply with the contractual availability of the machines. Bonny Island, Nigeria.
  • Upgrade of turbine control system on a thirty year old General Electric Frame 5L gas turbine from the old fuel regulator system to a Mark V Triple modular redundant system. Supervised installation of the new triple redundant instrumentation and started-up the machine. Daharki, Pakistan.
  • Mark V startup specialist to complete Installation of two GE Frame 5 generator drive units, Ben Qasim, Pakistan.
  • Mark V specialist on installation and startup of two Frame 6B compressor drive and five generator drive units (two Frame 7 EA & three Frame 6B). Bonny Island, Nigeria
  • Resident Engineer on site with two Frame 9E Managed all aspects of the support contract including technical support, maintenance and operation. Mark V controls, Bir M’Cherga, Tunisia.
  • Mark V specialist on upgrade of turbine control systems on six GE Frame 7E generator drive gas turbines from original Mark II system to a Mark V Triple modular redundant system, Tanghsiao, Taiwan.
  • Mark V specialist on upgrade of turbine control systems on one GE Frame 5 generator drive gas turbine from original Mark II system to a Mark V Triple modular redundant system, Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

  • Provided technical direction and project management for installation of two gas turbine/generators. Duties include root cause analysis, troubleshooting, quality control and report generation, Tunis, Tunisia.

  • Sonatrach Rhourde Nousse load sharing commissioning and punch list closeout
  • Site Survey, Preparation of Mechanical and Electrical BOM for the project and execution of the project.
